Process Flow Workshop

The Process Flow Workshop held in Birmingham before Christmas was a useful exercise. It provided examples for documenting and evaluating existing process in line with one of our first deliverables.  Unified Modelling Language (UML) featured highly and there was a lot of discussion about software options and popular techniques.

Examples from the day worth further investigation:

  • COVARM  (Generic reference model showing programme process from start to finish) See http://covarm.tvu.ac.uk/covarm/ for further details
  • ARCHIMATE ( Focus is on interoperability between PEOPLE and views of stakeholder groups. Information Behaviour Structure)  See http://www.archimate.org/  for further details.
  • LEAN  (Culture change. Developed from Managing Successful Programs & Prince 2)  See Lean enterprise based at Cardiff University website http://www.leanenterprise.org.uk/
